Music ECT Opportunity at a Thriving Secondary School |...
A thriving 11–18 school in Oxford, rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted, is seeking a passionate and dynamic Music ECT to join their Performing Arts Faculty from January 2026. This is a full-time, permanent post offering a structured induction, regular mentoring, and excellent opportunities for creative development.
About the Role
The successful teacher will deliver Music across KS3–KS5 , nurturing musical appreciation, performance skills, and composition techniques. They will teach in an environment that values artistic expression and celebrates both classical and contemporary music traditions.
ECTs in this department benefit from smaller class sizes, observation-based mentoring, and professional development focused on creative pedagogy. The role also includes opportunities to direct school choirs, support productions, and contribute to the school’s rich calendar of concerts and performances .

Experience and Qualifications
PGCE/PGDE with QTS in Music or related discipline.
Strong performance or conducting background.
A genuine enthusiasm for inspiring young musicians.
Excellent organisational and classroom management skills.
