Contract: Fixed-term/Permanent, Term Time Only

Hours: 32.5 hours per week

About the Role

We are looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities within our primary school. You will work closely with class teachers and the SENDCo to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one and small-group support for pupils with SEND, including ASD, ADHD and SEMH needs.
• Adapt learning activities to meet individual pupil requirements.
• Encourage positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Work collaboratively with teachers, parents and external professionals.
• Assist with the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
• Promote inclusion and equal opportunities for all pupils.

Essential Requirements

• Experience supporting children with SEND in an educational or care setting.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Patience, empathy and resilience.
• GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and child protection.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
