Technical Support Engineer - GCMS

Agilent seeks a Technical Support Engineer in Cheadle to provide remote and on-site technical support for gas chromatography and mass spectrometry instruments. Responsibilities

• Deliver reactive and proactive remote technical support for Agilent's instrument portfolio
• Perform remote troubleshooting on hardware, software, and applications to optimize system uptime
• Conduct on-site customer visits for installations, repairs, and scheduled maintenance services
• Identify and implement repair strategies to reduce customer downtime

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry or Life Science discipline
• Practical experience with chromatography techniques and mass spectrometry in laboratory settings
• Excellent remote troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to organize, prioritize workload, and follow structured processes
• Independent worker with attention to detail and customer expectation management
