Trainee Service Assistant

We have 3 garages around Leeds; Moortown, Horsforth and Leeds city centre.
We are looking for a candidate who is willing to learn all about the car motor industry. Full training will be given to the right candidate.

The role is very varied, and you need to be willing to learn and lend your hand to many different aspects that the job requires and at times get your hands dirty!
With time and training you will be expected to answer telephone calls, take bookings, manage customers either on the phone or face to face; helping them sort out issues with their car. You will work closely with the mechanics to diagnose faults and repairs that are needed on a car. You will be trained to price up and do estimates and how to explain it to the customer what repairs are needed on the car and in what timescales.

This part of the job does take time as there is a vast amount to learn about all aspects of cars. You will assist in placing orders for parts and getting them ready for the jobs that are coming in.
There will be times you might assist on cleaning around the garage, tidying up and moving cars around the garage or helping customers find parking spaces etc.
At times you might be asked to work at out other locations but initially you will be based at out Moortown office.

Skills we are looking for:
Have good, clear communication skills, adaptability, teamwork, problem solving, computer literate, good literacy and numeracy skills, wanting to learn!
Clean driving license

Hours, Pay & Holiday
• Full-time: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday and on a rota for Saturday half day
• Salary depends on the right candidate and experience
• 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays)
• Pension
• Trial period applies
