As a Band 6 Health Visitor, you will be responsible for delivering the Healthy Child Programme to families in the Runnymede area. Your duties will include:
- Managing a caseload of families with children aged 0-5, assessing their health needs and providing support and advice.
- Conducting developmental reviews and health assessments, identifying any concerns and making appropriate referrals.
- Providing evidence-based advice on parenting, nutrition, and child development.
- Working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, social care, and voluntary organisations to ensure a coordinated approach to family health.
- Promoting public health initiatives and contributing to community health improvement.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and participating in clinical supervision and professional development.
General Requirements
Essential
- Registered Nurse (RN) or Midwife with a Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) qualification in Health Visiting.
- Current NMC registration.
- Experience of working with children and families in a community setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of the Healthy Child Programme and current safeguarding legislation.
- Experience of delivering group sessions.
- Mentorship or preceptorship experience.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
