An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Occupational Therapy (OT) team within Woking Neighbourhood Mental Health Services. We are seeking a motivated Occupational Therapist to join us on a Band 5 to 6 Development post or Band 6 OT depending on experience, offering excellent opportunities for professional growth and career progression. We offer innovative ways of delivering OT within the NW sector. The post will include delivering both individual and group OT interventions offering a clear care pathway, these interventions include:

We also provide social care services for people with a learning disability in Croydon and ASD and ADHD assessment services in Hampshire. - Occupation Matters Programme - a 20 week group which utilises Lifestyle Redesign principles.
- Recovery through Occupation - a 6 week group which uses the Re-Motivation process to improve an individual's motivation and social skills.
- New Horizons - our occupational therapy led discharge pathway to support a smooth transition from secondary services
- Memory matters: group using cognitive rehabilitation principles for people with mild Dementia
- Individual occupational therapy
- Comprehensive occupational therapy assessments
- To provide high quality and evidence based occupational therapy assessment and interventions (group and individual) to people who access services and their carers/supporters/family members, in line with the occupational therapy.
- To communicate effectively with people who access services, carers, the multi-disciplinary team and when appropriate outside agencies.
- To contribute to the generic functioning of the team.
- To contribute to occupational therapy student placements.
- To participate in service development and audits.
- To take on the role of lead professional as appropriate.

- Band 6 - Additionally Completion of Fieldwork educators' course

- Experience working with people with mental health and or Learning Disabilities (can be pre-qualification)
- Knowledge of occupational frames of reference and approaches
- Knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models
- Knowledge of the impact of health and disability on occupational performance, participation and identity

- Band 6- Experience of contributing to service development/project work
