Senior Insurance Litigator, Leading Global Insurer (part time considered)

A unique opportunity has arisen with a leading global insurer for a lawyer with insurance litigation experience. As an experienced insurance litigator, you will support the senior stakeholders with front-end advice on high value insurance and reinsurance policies to identify potential gaps/pitfalls before they are issued. Key responsibiliti es

\n
• Engage with the claims team who will seek informal advice on various matters. Stay informed about ongoing claims and provide insights to help underwriters prevent similar issues in the future.

• Provide advice, drafting, and negotiating a wide variety of commercial and underwriting agreements, including policy wordings.
\n
• Assist underwriters when they act as insurers for specific accounts by ensuring the insurance agreements are accurately worded in a way to avoid future litigation.
\n
• Provide training, to the business on upcoming changes in legislation and how it impacts their products and underwriting/claims process es.

The successful candi date

\n

Qualified lawyer with 6 years'+ experience as an insurance litigator gained in-house and or in private practice

\n

Solid understanding of insurance law would be highly preferable but not a prerequisite

\n

\n
