Job description

A hotel housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness, order, and comfort in guest rooms and public areas, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all hotel guests.

Responsibilities

• Make beds, change linens, vacuum carpets, dust furniture, clean and disinfect bathrooms, and restock toiletries and amenities.
• Public area maintenance keep lobbies, hallways, conference rooms, elevators, and stairways clean and tidy, including furniture and windows.
• Wash, dry, and fold linens, towels, and other hotel fabrics; restock linen carts as needed.
• Guest service, respond promptly and courteously to guest requests for extra supplies or services, and handle lost and found items according to hotel procedures.
• Monitor room conditions, report maintenance issues, replace light bulbs, and notify the technical or maintenance department of any repairs needed.
• Safety and Compliance, follow safety regulations for cleaning chemicals and equipment, and adhere to hotel policies and procedures.
• Housekeepers must thoroughly clean guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to maintain hygiene and prevent the spread of germs.
• Time Management: Efficiently planning and executing tasks allows housekeepers to complete multiple rooms on schedule, ensuring rooms are ready for check-ins and special requests.

• The role is physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand, bend, lift, and move between rooms for extended periods.
