Head of Finance

IPS Finance is handling an upcoming requirement for a privately held group of businesses based in the North Bradford area. Our client has a requirement for a qualified accountant to take responsibility for the finance operation across the group.

Receiving a structured handover before eventually reporting to the directors, you will lead the day to day finance function while supporting the wider business with accurate financial reporting, compliance and commercial insight. The role is expected to suit an experienced Financial Controller or a technically strong qualified accountant looking to move into a number one finance position within industry.

Responsibilities will include:

• Leading the finance function across a group of companies.
• Preparing monthly management accounts and financial reporting.
• Producing consolidated financial information for the group.
• Managing budgeting, forecasting and cash flow.
• Overseeing statutory accounts preparation and year-end processes.
• Liaising with external auditors, tax advisers and other professional advisers.
• Ensuring robust financial controls and regulatory compliance.
• Supporting directors with financial analysis and business decision making.
• Identifying opportunities to improve financial processes and reporting.

The successful candidate is likely to have:

• ACA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• A strong technical accounting background gained in practice, industry or a combination of both.
• Experience preparing group reporting or consolidated accounts.
• The confidence to operate as a senior finance contact within an SME environment.

Salary: Circa £60,000 – £65,000
