The Role As a Key Stage 1 HLTA, you will: Support pupils across Year 1 and Year 2 classesDeliver planned lessons and lead learning when requiredSupport children's progress in phonics, reading, writing, and mathematicsDeliver targeted interventions and small-group support sessionsBuild positive relationships that promote confidence and engagementSupport pupils with varying needs, including SENDHelp create a nurturing, inclusive, and purposeful learning environmentWork collaboratively with teachers and wider school staff to support pupil achievement About You We're looking for someone who: Has previous experience working as a HLTA or in a similar classroom support roleIs confident leading learning and delivering lessons when requiredHas experience supporting pupils across Key Stage 1Is calm, patient, and positive in their approachBuilds strong relationships with pupils, colleagues, and familiesCan adapt learning to meet a range of abilities and additional needsHas a strong understanding of phonics and early literacy developmentIs passionate about helping children grow in confidence, independence, and resilience What We Need to Clear You To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need: A valid passport or proof of your right to work in the UKTwo proofs of addressA CV covering the last 10 years of work and/or education history, with any gaps explainedTwo years of references, including education or childcare references where applicableAn overseas police check if you have lived abroad for 3 months or more within the last 5 years Take the Next Step If you're an experienced HLTA looking for your next opportunity in BS15, we'd love to hear from you.
