We're working with a welcoming and highly supportive primary school in BS14 that is looking to appoint a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a permanent role starting in November .

You'll work closely with teachers, support learning across the primary age range, and help create a positive environment where every child feels valued and ready to succeed.

What You'll Be Doing

As a HLTA, you'll be a key part of the school's teaching and support team, with responsibilities including:

• Supporting teaching and learning across KS1 and KS2
• Leading targeted interventions and small-group sessions
• Delivering planned learning activities and supporting whole-class teaching
• Working collaboratively with teachers to promote pupil progress
• Encouraging confidence, engagement, and positive attitudes to learning
• Providing flexible support wherever needed to ensure smooth day-to-day school life
• Building strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

We're Looking For Someone Who:

• Holds HLTA status or has significant experience in a teaching support role
• Is confident supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2
• Can lead interventions and support whole-class learning when required
• Has excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Brings a calm, patient, and positive approach to working with children
• Is flexible, proactive, and able to adapt to the needs of the school day
• Is committed to helping every pupil reach their full potential

What We Need to Clear You

To get you registered and ready for work, we'll need:

• Passport or proof of right to work in the UK
• Two proofs of address
• A CV covering the last 10 years of employment and/or education, with any gaps explained
• References covering the last two years, including education or childcare experience where applicable
• An overseas police check if you have lived abroad for three months or more within the last five years
