Job Title: Head of Year (non-teaching)
Location: Nottingham
Salary: Actual salary £40,287 to £45,091 per year (NJC Grade H, 30-34)
Start Date: As soon as possible
Contract Type: Permanent
Working Pattern: Full Time, 42.5 hours a week, 39 weeks per year (term time plus inset days)

About the Pastoral Team:
Join a proactive and supportive Pastoral team at Ellis Guilford School, where you will lead with purpose and influence whole-school culture. As a Senior Pastoral Leader, you’ll drive high standards in behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement—bringing fresh ideas and working closely with students, families, and staff to secure the best outcomes.
Supported by clear systems, strong collaboration, and ongoing professional development, you’ll lead a dedicated team committed to making a meaningful and lasting difference in students’ lives.
About You:
You are a compassionate and committed pastoral practitioner with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in young people’s lives. You bring experience of working within a pastoral team, with the ability to support, motivate, and appropriately challenge students to achieve their best.
You are confident in building positive, trusting relationships with students, families, and colleagues, and are dedicated to helping remove barriers to success. With a relevant qualification and a passion for inclusive, student-centred practice, you are ready to play an important role in supporting student wellbeing and contributing to a positive school community.
