Pastoral Support Officer - Nottingham - January 2026
A large secondary school in Nottingham is seeking a compassionate and proactive Pastoral Support Officer to join its student support team from January 2026 .
The Role
You will work directly with students, families and staff to support wellbeing, behaviour and attendance across the school.
Key tasks include:
- supporting behaviour interventions and restorative conversations
- liaising with Heads of Year on student support plans
- working with families to resolve concerns
- supporting safeguarding referrals and documentation
- monitoring vulnerable students and maintaining records
The School
The school has a strong pastoral reputation and a caring, stable staff team. Leaders are visible, and pastoral staff receive regular training in safeguarding, trauma-informed practice and behaviour support.
