Are you a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, who wants to further develop your skills with neurodivergence in a friendly, supportive and innovative team? Are you passionate about delivering mental health support and quality diagnoses for the neurodivergent population in the beautiful county of Buckinghamshire? We're recruiting 2x Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join Bucks CAMHS team supporting Neurodiverse individuals. These roles will be on a part-time basis working 18.75 hours per week. 1 role will be at a qualified/experienced 8a level and the other a band 7 please let us know. You will join a well-established, and knowledgeable multi-professional team. You will receive quality reflective supervision. You will use your skills to deliver quality assessments and interventions and influence service improvements. You will have opportunities to grow in your career, including developing your leadership skills and supervision of others as and continuing professional development and research opportunities. You will be a vital member of the team helping the system to understand the complete identity of the young person including their neurodivergence, mental health and developmental profile. In this role, you'll be contributing to the triaging, assessment and intervention process for neurodivergent children and young people and experiencing mental health needs. You'll be assessing the mental health component of their experience and delivering evidence based interventions. We work closely with families to build care plans and there's a lot of multi-agency networking involved, as you'll be in contact with schools. the local authority, play organisations and charities. - Knowledge of the theory and practice of specialised psychological therapies with children and adolescents with conditions appropriate to the post.
Essential
- Doctoral level training in clinical / counselling psychology including specifically models of Pre-qualification training and qualifications or experience in research methodology, staff psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies, and lifespan developmental psychology.
- Current HCPC registration as a Clinical / Counselling Psychologist Desirable criteria Maximum
- Pre-qualification training and qualifications or experience in research methodology ,training and/or other fields of applied psychology. staff

- Experience of specialist psychological assessment and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, day services and in patient settings.
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups, across the whole life course presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity including maintaining a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and threat of physical abuse
- Experience of running / co-running groups
- Experience of the application of clinical psychology in different cultural contexts
- Experience of working with people with conditions appropriate to the post.
