Children’s Residential Support Worker Locations: Bradford (BD12, BD13 & BD19) Salary: £24,843 - £32,248.55 per annum Hours: Full-time rota-based positions available (including sleep-in and non-sleep-in roles) We are recruiting passionate and dedicated Children’s Residential Support Workers to join our team supporting children and young people across our Bradford residential services. This is an excellent opportunity for caring, resilient and enthusiastic individuals who want to make a real difference in the lives of young people by providing a safe, stable and nurturing home environment. Our service provides high-quality residential care and support, helping young people develop confidence, independence and positive life outcomes. You will play a key role in supporting their emotional wellbeing, personal development and everyday needs. The Role As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a committed team to provide consistent and individualised support to young people. You will build positive relationships, act as a trusted role model and help young people feel safe, valued and listened to. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing high-quality care and support to children and young people.
- Creating a safe, caring and nurturing home environment.
- Building positive, respectful relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
- Supporting young people with their emotional, social and practical needs.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, life skills and positive choices.
- Supporting education, activities and community involvement.
- Following individual care plans and contributing to reviews and assessments.
- Supporting young people to manage behaviours positively and develop self-esteem.
- Working collaboratively with families, social workers, schools, health professionals and other agencies.
- Maintaining accurate records and completing required administration.
- Promoting safeguarding and the welfare of young people at all times.
- Experience working with children, young people, care, education or support services (desirable).
- A caring, patient and understanding approach.
- The ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively.
- Resilience and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting positive outcomes for young people.
