NLC6: £31,361 - £33,343 Per Year (Plus Additional Non-Core Hours Payments)

Exciting opportunities have arisen for an experienced Driver to join our Streetscene team. You will work throughout the North Lanarkshire area. You will drive and be responsible for allocated vehicles requiring specialist driving skills. Specifically operating complex vehicles in difficult or complex situations where manoeuvring skills and good judgement are required. Other duties will include vehicle checks, routine maintenance and cleaning, transporting goods and people and carrying out associated paperwork. When not driving, you will carry out other duties which will include and not be restricted to land management tasks.

You must be in possession of a Driver Certificate of Competence (CPC) and hold a minimum Category C (LGV) licence. You must be able to undertake physical duties and capable of understanding verbal and written instructions and completing work related paperwork. You must also have the ability to use your initiative and solve problems as and when required.

It is essential that you have experience of working within a team and dealing with members of the public as well as understanding health and safety requirements and manual handling techniques. You must also have a flexible approach to working practices. Experience of supervision is desirable.

Working Patterns:

Post 1 & 2:

Week 1 - Monday - Thursday: 07:15am - 17:00pm

Week 2 - Tuesday - Friday: 07:15am - 17:00pm

Post 3, 4 & 5:

Week 1 - Friday - Monday: 07:15am - 17:00pm

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
