Role: Year 3 Teaching Assistant (x2)

Salary: £90-110 per day (depending on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

We are currently seeking 2 x experienced Teaching Assistants to join a fantastic primary school located in the Halewood area of Knowsley. This school are seeking nuturing and committed Teaching Assistants to join them on a full-time basis from 1st September 2026. 

This role will be based in their Year 3 classrooms working as part of a team of support staff across two classes. Whilst this role is not 1:1, it will involve supporting students with additional needs throughout the week – so experience in SEN is beneficial. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30-3:30. Opportunities for permanent recruitment available for the successful candidate in the 2026/7 academic year.

Person Specification

Qualifications

• Level 2/3 teaching assistant qualification is desirable; however, those with relevant school experience will also be considered.
• GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above for both) or equivalent Level 2.
• Current DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one through Connex.
• Experience in Year 3 would be an advantage 
• Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly ASD
