The Best Connection Tamworth are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Class 1 (C+E) Driver to support our client's busy operation on an ad hoc basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV driver looking for flexible weekday work with no regular weekend requirement.
The Role
As a Class 1 Driver, your duties will include:
- Trunking work
- Local and regional deliveries
- Yard shunting and vehicle movements when required
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
- Following all road transport, health and safety regulations and company procedures
Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must have:
- Minimum 2 year's Class 1 (C+E) driving experience
- Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience delivering building materials is desirable
- Experience with shunting and yard movements
- Good knowledge of Driver's Hours and Working Time Regulations
- Reliable, professional and safety-conscious approach
- Strong work ethic
