Production Operative - Temporary Ongoing
Location: Runcorn
Pay Rate: £13.48 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (Rotating Shifts: 06:00-14:00 & 13:00-21:00)
- Follow shop order instructions to print and label drums accurately.
- Filter and weigh materials in line with production instructions.
- Report any quality issues or shortages of finished goods, consumables, or packaging to the Production Manager or Shift Manager as soon as possible.
- Clean production vessels in preparation for the next manufacturing process.
- Load pallets safely and store them in the correct locations.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying and suggesting process improvements.
- Carry out daily safety checks and maintain responsibility for FLT/Reach truck operation where applicable.
- Clean and maintain equipment in line with 5S standards.
- Assist with maintaining daily production audit records.
- Follow all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and risk assessments.
- Promote a strong health and safety culture within the team.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties requested by the Production Manager or Shift Manager.
Requirements
Essential:
- Previous production or manufacturing experience.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Understanding of, or willingness to work within, Lean manufacturing principles.
Desirable:
- Valid Counterbalance FLT licence.
- Reach Truck licence.
