Job Title: HGV Driver – Scrap Yard Operations
Location: Poole, Dorset
Salary: Competitive
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent including Saturdays 8-1pm.
About the Role:
We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Driver to join our busy scrapyard team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the collection and delivery of skips and RORO (Roll-On/Roll-Off) bins from customer sites, transporting materials safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate HGV vehicles to collect and deliver skips and RORO bins
• Drive to customer locations across Dorset and surrounding areas and return to the yard
• Ensure all loads are safely secured and comply with transport regulations
• Complete relevant paperwork and logbooks accurately
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Assist in general yard duties when required
Requirements:
• Full UK HGV Class 2 or Class 1 Licence (C or C+E)
• Valid CPC and Digital Tacho Card
• Experience in skip/RORO bin operations preferred
• Good knowledge of local area and routes
• Safety-conscious with a strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
