Salary: H33 - £65,419

Contract: Full time, Permanent, (Mon-Fri, 36 hours per week)

Start Date: January 2027

Haringey Sixth Form College is seeking to appoint a proactive and experienced Head of Estates to manage the college site. This role combines day-to-day operational responsibility with oversight of health & safety, compliance, and maintenance, ensuring a safe and high-quality environment for students and staff

Working closely with the Site Manager and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will have responsibility for:

• Overseeing the daily operation of the college estate, including buildings and grounds

• Leading on health & safety and statutory compliance (including fire safety, asbestos management, water hygiene, etc.)

• Managing maintenance programmes, repairs, and external contractors

• Controlling the estates budget and ensuring value for money

• Delivering small scale improvement and refurbishment projects

• Maintaining a safe, clean, and well-presented site

Applicants will need to demonstrate:

• Experience in estates, facilities or site management

• Knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements

• Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

• A practical, hands-on approach to work

• The ability to work independently using their own initiative and exercising sound professional judgement.
