The role:

To support effective clinical care by providing an efficient Health Records service to patients in a ward environment. You will ensure patients' health records are administered and processed accurately while maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Band 2 roles are not eligible for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa routes.

Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• This post is permanent.
• This is a part-time post working 28.80 hours per week, with a work pattern of Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8.00am to 2.00pm, and Wednesday from 8.00am to 12.48pm
  
• This is a Greater Glasgow and Clyde-wide post, and the successful candidate may be required to work at any location across NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde.
  
• The initial base for this post will be Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
• Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part time hours.

Key responsibilities:

You will provide Health Records support across multiple wards as required, ensuring patient records are administered accurately and remain confidential. You will undertake a range of administrative and reception duties, including welcoming patients, answering telephone enquiries, booking appointments, and maintaining accurate patient demographic information on the patient management system. You will support the smooth running of ward services by providing efficient administrative support wherever required

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Previous clerical and/or reception experience is essential.
• Experience of working with the general public in a customer service environment is essential.
• Good organisational skills.
• Good keyboard skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Proficient in the use of computer systems.
