Daily Housekeeper/Cook

Experienced Housekeeper/Cook Required for VIP Family – Holland Park/Notting Hill

A wonderful long-term opportunity is available for an experienced and professional Housekeeper/Cook to join a private family household in the Holland Park/Notting Hill area of London.

We are seeking a highly skilled, reliable, and proactive individual with a strong background in private households and a proven track record of long-term employment within London residences.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing daily family meals, including lunch and dinner, for a family of five.
• Managing all aspects of household cooking and overseeing housekeeping duties.
• Ironing and preparing school uniforms for the next day
• Preparing wholesome, home-style family meals, including roasts, pasta dishes, soups, and pies.
• Additional knowledge of Thai, Chinese, or Indian cuisine would be highly advantageous.
• Assisting with the care of the family's much-loved small dog.

Working Schedule:

Five-day working week, including Sunday cover 11am - 6/7pm

Hours: 12:00pm – 9:00pm.

This position would ideally suit a candidate living within easy commuting distance of Holland Park/Notting Hill.

Working collaboratively with the morning Housekeeper, who is employed from 7:00am to 4:00pm.

This Housekeeper/Cook needs to be an excellent cook, plan menus, and be skilled in ironing. Occasionally, they may prepare a late breakfast or a light lunch (e.g., a salad) for the husband & wife, or for a child, covering afternoons and evenings until 9pm, ensuring that dinner is served by 7:30 pm. After dinner is served, the responsibilities will include giving the dog his dinner, taking him for a final walk, and feeding the bunny. Following dinner, the housekeeper will tidy up the kitchen and, before leaving, ensure that the children’s uniforms are ready for the next day (including packing sports bags and ensuring uniforms are clean in their rooms). Uniform preparation will also be part of the housekeepers duties. On Sundays, the  housekeeper will start at 11 am to prepare a family breakfast and a Sunday dinner.

Requirements:

• Minimum of four years' experience working within a private household as a Housekeeper/Cook.
• Confident preparing daily meals for a family, including households with children.
• Strong housekeeping skills and attention to detail.
• Calm, flexible, and professional approach.
• Excellent written references and a verifiable employment history.
• Spanish language skills would be beneficial but are not essential.

This role is focused on high-quality home-style family cooking rather than restaurant or chef-level cuisine. It offers an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Housekeeper/Cook seeking a secure, long-term position within a welcoming family environment.

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
