Cybersecurity Information Assurance analyst (IT)

Required Skills & Experience * Proven experience in a Senior Information Assurance / Cybersecurity role within UK Government or the public sector * Strong understanding of UK Government security frameworks and policies, including NCSC guidance and HMG standards * Demonstrable experience conducting end-to-end risk assessments and managing risk lifecycles * Ability to articulate complex security risks clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

• Experience working directly with clients to agree risk ratings and mitigation strategies
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, while also contributing effectively

within a team * Involvement in assurance processes such as accreditation, IT Health Checks (ITHC), or penetration testing remediation Desirable Experience

• Knowledge of frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or CIS controls
• Experience with cloud security (Oracle) within government environments
