VANRATH are delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services firm to recruit a Personal Tax Manager / Senior Manager to join a highly regarded tax practice in Belfast.

The firm's tax team is one of the largest and most respected in Northern Ireland, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients ranging from multinational organisations through to successful local businesses, entrepreneurs and high-net-worth individuals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced tax professional to join a growing team where you will take ownership of complex compliance work while also developing your advisory experience within a supportive and collaborative environment.

The Role

As Personal Tax Manager / Senior Manager, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of high-value private clients, delivering high-quality personal tax compliance services while supporting advisory engagements.
What You Will Do

• Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of compliance services
• Review complex personal tax returns and provide technical guidance to clients and colleagues
• Build strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted point of contact for ongoing tax matters
• Support advisory projects including succession planning, inheritance tax considerations, trusts and wealth planning
• Work closely with Directors and wider tax specialists to deliver tailored client solutions
• Mentor and develop junior members of the team, contributing to the continued growth of the practice

Requirements

• CTA qualified or working towards qualification (ACA/ACCA also considered)
• Strong experience within Personal Tax, ideally gained within a professional services environment
• Experience managing client relationships and reviewing complex tax compliance work
• Strong technical knowledge with an interest in developing further advisory capability
• Previous experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues would be advantageous
