The Role:
As a part-time Teacher of German at BSG, the successful candidate will be expected to support the delivery of German across the whole school. We are looking for an individual who has experience in delivering from Primary through to A Level.
We’ll look to you to promote high expectations for our students, designing learning activities that are aligned to our school’s curriculum and creating a learning culture where there are no limits to what can be achieved. You will foster an environment of respect and progress within the classroom, facilitating learning through activities that reflect a growth mindset.
The Successful Candidate will possess:
Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, HDipEd, or equivalent).
Hold a current Enhanced Criminal Records Bureau Disclosure for all countries lived in.
Compliance with visa requirements for working.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils, and a willingness to undertake appropriate child protection training when required.
The Person
The successful applicant will be joining a team of enthusiastic teachers. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Teacher of German to join our well-established school. You will be able to adapt quickly to our fast-paced international environment, you will possess a university degree, a recognised teaching qualification and considerable teaching experience. All our staff are expected to promote the Core Values of the British School of Guangzhou, and be able to ensure that teaching and learning meets the needs and expectations of the individual children, and the wider school community. You will be expected to demonstrate thorough curriculum knowledge and a proactive approach towards the wellbeing of young children, yourself and others, including your own professional development.
