Music ECT - Creative Secondary School in Bath - September...
An excellent and well-regarded secondary school in Bath is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Music ECT to join its successful Music department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an Early Career Teacher to launch their career in a school known for strong leadership, positive behaviour, and a highly structured, supportive ECT induction program. The position is available on a full-time, permanent basis starting September 2026.
The Music department is well resourced and collaborative, with a clear focus on high-quality teaching, excellent performance spaces, and strong pupil progress.
The Role
Teaching Music across KS3 and KS4
Planning and delivering engaging, well-structured lessons in performance, composition, and listening
Supporting practical Music lessons, utilizing department mac suites and instrumental resources
Assessing pupil progress and providing clear, constructive feedback
Working collaboratively within a supportive Music team and engaging fully with ECT mentor sessions
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) by September 2026
A degree in Music or a related subject
Successful placement experience teaching Music at KS3 and KS4
Strong subject knowledge and confident classroom practice
High expectations for pupil engagement, behaviour, and progress
A professional, organised, and positive teaching approach
