SEN Teaching Assistant Resource Base
Balsall Heath, Birmingham | Full-Time | Monday to Friday Are you a caring, patient, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role supporting children with additional needs?We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming primary school in Balsall Heath, Birmingham, for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their specialist SEN hub. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a highly supportive team, making a meaningful difference to the lives of children with complex learning needs. The Role- Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Early finish at 12:30pm every Friday
- Supporting a small group of pupils within the school's Resource Base
- Working alongside the class teacher and specialist staff to deliver engaging, personalised learning
- Providing tailored support to help pupils achieve their individual learning and developmental goals
- Assisting with personal care where required, ensuring pupils are supported with dignity and respect
The pupils you will support have a range of additional needs, including:
- Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
- Non-verbal Autism
- Complex needs
- The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- A Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential)
- A valid Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification
- Experience working within an Early Years setting
- Previous experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism and complex needs
- Confidence supporting children with personal care requirements
- A calm, nurturing, and patient approach
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for helping children with additional needs reach their full potential
