Freelance Theatre Sound Engineer / Sound No. 1 Location: Watford Palace Theatre, Watford Date: Sunday 15 November 2026 Fee: £325 In The Room Festival is a national, industry-led musical theatre event bringing together talented young performers and established West End professionals. We are seeking an experienced freelance Sound Engineer to join our production team for a one-day event at Watford Palace Theatre. The role will involve operating sound throughout a fast-paced technical rehearsal schedule and a fully staged evening musical theatre performance, including live vocal mixing, managing up to 12 radio microphones, music playback and sound cues. Applicants should have professional theatre experience, ideally in live musical theatre, and be confident managing multiple vocal microphones and working collaboratively with stage management and the wider technical team. Experience working on productions involving children and young performers would be advantageous.
