Front-of-House Opportunity in a Busy School Office

A welcoming community primary school in Stoke-on-Trent is seeking a reliable and organised School Receptionist to join its administrative team on a full-time, ASAP basis . As the first point of contact for visitors, parents, and pupils, the receptionist plays a vital role in supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

A Typical Day in This Role

Your day will begin by preparing the reception area and ensuring systems are ready for the arrival of pupils, staff, and visitors. Throughout the morning, you will greet visitors, manage incoming calls, and respond to general enquiries from parents.

Administrative tasks will form a regular part of your responsibilities. This may include updating attendance records, handling deliveries, distributing post, and maintaining accurate visitor logs. You will also support the wider admin team with general office duties when required.

During busy periods, particularly at the start and end of the school day, you will help manage pupil sign-in and sign-out procedures and ensure safeguarding processes are followed consistently.
