Newcastle upon Tyne £92.63 – £108.00 per day (PAYE) Full-Time | September Start | Long-Term Opportunity with Permanent Potential The Role As an SEMH Support Assistant, you will: Provide one-to-one and small-group support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needsBuild strong, trusting relationships that promote confidence and emotional wellbeingSupport students to engage positively in lessons and school lifeImplement behaviour and wellbeing strategies in collaboration with teachers and pastoral staffHelp students develop emotional regulation, resilience and coping strategiesEncourage positive behaviour through consistency, patience and restorative approachesWork closely with the SEND team, pastoral leaders and external professionals to provide personalised support You'll become a trusted adult within the school, helping students overcome barriers and achieve both academically and personally.
