What you'll do at work
The apprentice technical support role will be based in the technical support team at NetSupport.
NetSupport develops software solutions to lots of different types of customers from large car manufacturers and supermarkets to Schools and even home users.
As part of this service, we need to provide support to our customers that have purchased our solutions.
The technical support team provides this service to new, evaluating, and existing customers.
This is a busy team that provides a support service to our customers via Phone, email and a live chat system.
The Technical Support team consists of around 10 staff based in the UK office and 3 in the US.
The apprentice role includes the below responsibilities :
- Ensuring all communications with customers are logged on our support helpdesk system
- Responding to customers' questions
- Setting up different environments to test customers' issues across multiple platforms Windows, ChromeOS, macOS, iOS and Android (training on each platform will be provided)
- Managing and prioritising their own case load
- Working with other departments within the company on support items
Optional areas:
- Attend trade shows with the sales team to provide support
- Perform online product demos and training to new and existing customers

Training schedule
The classroom training for the Digital Support Technician comprises of 3 modules. The apprentice will attend the training in an online classroom with their designated JBC trainer.
The modules taught are:
- Core Support & Security
- Digital Support & Communication
- Technical Support & Training
Each module is delivered remotely over five consecutive days, with the training weeks scheduled at intervals throughout the apprenticeship.

- We are a government approved apprenticeship training provider. We provide apprenticeships for a wide range of employers, large and small.
- Some of your working hours will be spent training or studying with your appointed JBC Trainer/Mentor or your employer. Learning the skills you need to be successful in the role and complete the apprenticeship.
- You will have a progress review with your trainer and line manager every three months, along with regular support sessions to help you develop your portfolio.

GCSE in:

- Maths (grade Grade A - C (4 or above))
Desirable qualifications
GCSE in:
IT (grade Grade A - C (4 or above))

Candidate would be based in an office environment and would need to be able to travel to Market Deeping. We are happy to make time during the working day for the apprentice to also work on their college assignments.
