Protocol Education are currently recruiting a Learning Support Assistant / Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Pupil Referral Unit in Southend . You’ll be part of a dedicated team working with students who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs .
About the role:
- Supporting students on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Helping to manage behaviour and encourage engagement in learning
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working alongside experienced staff in a collaborative environment
What we’re looking for:
- A positive, resilient and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine interest in supporting young people with additional needs
- Experience is beneficial but not essential – the right mindset is key
The details:
- Full-time, long-term position
- Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 15:30
- Based in Southend

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position.
