Reach Truck Driver

Location: Darlington Job Type: Temporary (Ongoing) Pay Rate: £14.58 per hour Hours: Approximately 35 hours per week

The Role

Berry Recruitment are currently recruiting for experienced Reach Truck Drivers to join a busy logistics and distribution warehouse in Darlington.

We are initially looking to recruit 2 candidates , with the potential for this to increase to 4 positions .

Applications are welcomed from both:

• Drivers who hold a current Reach Truck licence.

• Experienced Reach Truck Drivers whose licence has expired.

A one-day refresher assessment and training course will be provided for all new starters to assess operating standards before commencing work.

Working Hours

You will work approximately 35 hours per week on a 5 days over 7 rota , working one weekend on and one weekend off .

We have the following shifts available:

Morning Shift

• 5:00am – approximately 12:00pm (finish time may vary depending on workload)

Afternoon Shift

• 12:00pm – approximately 7:00pm (finish time may vary depending on workload)

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Reach Truck to move stock throughout the warehouse.

• Load, unload and transport goods efficiently.

• Pick, replenish and relocate stock as required.

• Carry out daily equipment safety checks.

• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

• Adhere to all health and safety procedures.

• Support the wider warehouse operation when required.

What We're Looking For

• Previous Reach Truck driving experience is essential.

• A current Reach Truck licence is preferred; however, candidates with an expired licence are encouraged to apply.

• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety.

• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high standards.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

• Flexibility to work a 5 over 7 shift pattern, including alternate weekends.
