Band 4 Medical Secretary
Location: Bradbury Centre
Hours: Full time / Rate of pay £14.09 per hour
Duration: Initially 3 months (with potential extension pending permanent recruitment)

Job duties

• Typing clinic letters, discharge summaries, medical reports, and other correspondence.
• Managing telephone calls and messages from patients, relatives, GPs, and other agencies.
• Maintaining diaries, arranging meetings, preparing agendas/minutes, and coordinating consultant schedules.
• Handling filing, case notes, records, and tracing notes in and out of the department.
• Supporting patient pathways, including referrals, test results, waiting lists, and transport arrangements.
• Liaising with multidisciplinary teams and external organisations in a confidential way.

About the Role
You will provide a high standard of secretarial and administrative support to a busy team of Consultants and Nurses.

Training and Support
Full training will be provided, and you will be supported by an experienced administrative team.
