Job Title: Cover Supervisor
Location: Sheffield
Pay: £460-£650 per week (depending on experience)
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time/ Part-time, Day-to-day/ Long-term

GSL Education are looking to appoint a Cover Supervisor across thriving schools in Sheffield . We are seeking a reliable and adaptable individual who can supervise lessons, maintain positive behaviour, and support students in achieving their learning objectives.

The CS role offers a strong route into education, providing valuable experience in classroom leadership, behaviour management, and student engagement.

Responsibilities of Cover Supervisor:

* Supervise lessons using work prepared by teaching staff
* Ensure students remain focused and engaged throughout learning activities
* Maintain positive behaviour in line with school policies
* Support students in completing assigned tasks and activities
* Monitor attendance and report concerns to relevant staff members
* Contribute to a productive and supportive classroom environment

Requirements for Cover Supervisor:

* Experience working with children or young people in school setting or similar
* Confidence managing groups of students in a classroom setting
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to adapt to different subjects and classroom environments
* Professional, reliable, and proactive approach to work
* Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
