We are seeking to appoint a new nurse leader to join the nursing team within the Private Care Services Division at the Royal Marsden. The role is a key part of the senior management team, working alongside the Matron of Private Care to provide clinical leadership to the nursing and administrative teams, maintaining credibility through practice and provide a high quality and safe patient service. Within this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of daily operational management of the private care medical day units and outpatient departments at Chelsea and Cavendish Square. The role has professional accountability for the workforce, service delivery, service strategy, clinical quality, governance, and safety.The successful candidate will be an experienced nurse leader with the ability to motivate and inspire staff to deliver the highest possible clinical and professional standards. You will be a clinical role model and will be passionate about improvement and patient-centred care. - Diploma or Degree level study (or equivalent)
- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Masters degree or equivalent job related experience or post grad calibre
- Qualification in oncology ILS/ALS
- Recognised teaching qualification
- Leadership qualification
- Experience in accreditation processes

- Significant post registration nursing experience in oncology or speciality to be confident and competent in using the required skills to do the job.
- Current experience in managing the deteriorating oncology patient, including the safe transfer of patients
- Significant experience in Clinical Management and leadership
- Experience in a large complex organisation and/or NHS
- Good understanding of the clinical and non-clinical aspects of an International service model
- Success in achieving substantial organisation change and implementing highly complex projects
- Experience of change initiatives within and operational and clinical team
- Experience of managing projects involving clinicians and track record of successful engagement with clinical leaders
