Our Psychosexual Therapy Service offers time-limited, structured therapy to individuals and couples experiencing sexual difficulties, as well as those with concerns around sexuality or gender. We work across a range of delivery modes, with an emphasis on solution-focused therapy. Main duties of the job

- Managing a complex caseload independently, including assessing and delivering brief therapy
- Working with interpreters or advocates where necessary
- Safeguarding adults and children through appropriate risk management
- Contributing to service development and evaluation
- Maintaining accurate records in line with governance standards
To apply, you should have:
- A postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy (validated by COSRT or IPM)
- COSRT accreditation, or be actively working towards it
- A minimum of 200 hours of supervised clinical practice
- Experience in delivering brief, time-limited psychotherapy
- Knowledge of psychosexual therapeutic approaches, sexual health, gender, and sexuality
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications, Training and Experience (Essential)
- Postgraduate diploma in Psychosexual Therapy
- COSRT accreditation or being able to demonstrate you are working towards accreditation.
- You will also have over 200 hours of supervised clinical psychotherapy practice and experiences of offering brief time limited psychotherapy interventions
- You'll need have sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing, including the capacity to impart clinically sensitive and technical information to a range of recipients
- You will have specialist knowledge of therapeutic techniques through substantial training in the assessment and psychological treatment of trauma
- You will have up-to-date knowledge of research-based treatments in the field of psychological therapy
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases
- Having an awareness of developments within the NHS would be an advantage as well as an understanding of National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance
- A full, valid UK driving licence or a full driving licence issued by an EU country (not exchanged from a non-EU country)
