Primary Teacher/KS2 Teacher

Academics are recruiting on behalf of a residential SEN school in Andover which caters for young people aged 11-19 years with a primary diagnosis of autism, complex needs and challenging behaviour. All young people have an EHCP.
They are seeking a committed and creative Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team. You will play a key role in establishing their new Key Stage 2 provision, delivering engaging and adaptable lessons that build confidence, curiosity, and success in learners with additional needs.
The successful Primary Teacher will be required to:
* Deliver high-quality teaching within their Key Stage 2 provision.
* Support students to access the National Curriculum at an appropriate level.
* Adapt teaching to meet individual EHCP outcomes.
* Motivate and engage learners through inclusive, creative practice.
* Provide meaningful feedback to support progress and build confidence.
* Contribute to enrichment and the wider life of the school.
* Work collaboratively within a skilled and forward-thinking team.
The suitable Primary Teacher must have:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching at Key Stage 2
* Strong classroom management and a flexible, responsive teaching style
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* A genuine passion for working with young people with SEND
* A collaborative mindset and commitment to whole-school values
* Experience in curriculum development (desirable)
* Enthusiasm for shaping a new and evolving provision
The main school building in Andover is a large country house set in 8 acres of grounds which provide a beautiful and secure setting for outdoor activities. Ideally suited to a driver due to the rural location.
