At Eni , we are looking for an Oil Products Analyst within Eni Trade & Biofuels (ETB) in London . You will be providing in-depth analysis and forecasts related to the global oil markets, focusing on refining economics, supply-demand balances, and market trends, specifically related to Middle Distillates. This role requires a deep understanding the oil industry, with a specific focus on refining operations, in addition to geopolitical influences, regulatory changes, and economic factors affecting the sector. The analyst will support decision-making for internal stakeholders, including trading, upstream, and strategic planning teams.

This role offers unparalleled exposure to the full commodity trading lifecycle through close collaboration with our Oil & Freight Trading, Shipping Operations, Scheduling, Credit, Middle Office, Back Office, Insurance, Legal, Finance, and Contract teams. A degree of flexibility is expected to enable knowledge sharing with various members of the operations team and to provide cover when required. Some out of hours work may be necessary, subject to business needs.

ETB is the crude oil, refined oil products and biofuels trading and shipping company of Eni. We are a diverse and dynamic team of around 300 professionals distributed in three offices (Rome, London and Singapore) with the addition in Houston of Eni Trading & Shipping Inc. (ETS Inc) which handles marketing of oils and petroleum products for the US market. Our team is also involved in marketing Eni's oil equity productions, sourcing hydrocarbons and bio feedstocks, and managing the output of our traditional and green refineries.

Main responsibilities:

• Synthesizing cross-regional and cross-product fundamental themes, with a particular focus on the Middle Distillates (Jet & Diesel).
• Designing, implementing and improving analytical tools and models to aid the real time understanding of complex market dynamics.
• Challenging and validating modelling approaches via back-testing and research studies.
• Maintaining and updating global energy statistics, refining product balances, and future demand/supply forecasts.
• Preparing reports and presentations for management, advising on crude/refined product profitability to support trading and upstream operations.
• Proposing and support IT/software improvements to enhance the quality and efficiency of analysis.

Skills and experience required:

• A university degree in a numerate discipline.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of oil markets, with a particular focus on middle distillates.

• Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable insights.
• Proficiency with Python would be an advantage.
• High attention to detail, with the ability to ensure accuracy in all aspects of market analysis and reporting.
• Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.
• Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and evolving industry trends.
• Problem-solving skills in complex data and market scenarios.
• Fluent in English; Italian is a plus.
