Associate Building Services Engineer (Electrical)

We are looking to appoint a forward-thinking and solution focused Associate Building Services Engineer (Electrical). This role is to join our dynamic team based in our vibrant, centrally located Glasgow office. You will be delivering exceptional technical and commercial solutions to a range of clients across the private and public sector; including education, custodial, defence, healthcare, leisure, data and commercial. The successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of UK security clearance in order to work on certain projects. The required clearance level will depend on the nature of the work and the sensitivity of the information involved. • Delivering portfolios of work across both the private and public sector.
• Preparing designs, feasibility studies, reports, and contract documents.
• Carrying out building analysis.
• Managing various contracts.
• Liaising directly with Clients and Contractors.
• Ensuring projects are delivered accurately and on time.
• Providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and graduate trainees.
• Compliance with Health & Safety requirements, practices and procedures.

Our ideal Associate Building Services Engineer (Electrical) will have:
• HND/Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
• No restrictions to obtain Security Clearance for secure projects.
• Knowledge and understanding of BS7671.
• Knowledge of H&S/CDM requirements and current legislation e.g., UK Building Regulations.
• Familiarity with electrical and lighting design software's such as Hevacomp/Amtech/Dialux.
• Excellent communication skills, collaborative and self - motivated.
• Structured wiring system and security system design experience.
• Knowledge of construction industry design processes and procurement arrangements.
• Fire alarm and emergency lighting design experience.
