Vacancy: Purchasing Assistant

Salary: Up to circa £34K neg + bonus
They are recruiting for a Purchasing Assistant with exceptional attention to detail to join their successful and growing business. This is a key role for an organised and commercially aware individual who understands the demands of a fast-paced distribution environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Control and maintain accurate stock levels across the business
• Work closely with the team to support buying activity, particularly special products
• Dealing with a high level of credit card payments
• Liaise with suppliers to negotiate, clarify orders and manage issues
• Support internal teams to ensure customer needs are prioritised
• Maintain accurate records and work within set processes and deadlines Skills & Experience Required:
• Current or recent experience and knowledge of electrical wholesale products
• Background in stock control, with exposure to purchasing or buying
• Ability to work accurately, quickly and efficiently on computer systems
• Excellent communication skills when working with suppliers and colleagues
• Highly organised, focused and able to work under pressure
• Comfortable working within a structured environment and tight deadlines
• Have the ability to deal with plenty of computer work Salary & Benefits:
• Salary up to circa £34,000 per annum + bonus (depending on experience)
