Financial Regulatory Lawyer

£22 - £24.5 per hourEstimated

A leading independent German law firm is looking to strengthen its Financial Regulatory practice in Frankfurt and is seeking an experienced Lawyer to join its growing team. Candidates at Senior Associate or Non-Equity Partner level will be considered.

The team advises banks, financial services providers, FinTechs and other market participants on a broad range of financial regulatory and capital markets matters. Its work includes ongoing regulatory advice, licensing applications for leading German banks, the drafting and negotiation of client and service provider agreements, and the implementation of crypto-based business models. The team also advises on the issuance of digital financial products, including crypto securities and crypto fund units, as well as compliance and governance requirements and the regulatory framework under the Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR).

Your Profile:

  • Several years of relevant professional experience in financial regulatory law, ideally with at least three years of experience, and an ambition to take the next step in your career.
  • Strong academic results in the German State Examinations in Law; a doctorate and/or an international postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
  • Excellent English language skills, both written and spoken.
  • A strong interest in complex mandates and the opportunity to work with leading financial market participants.
  • A sound understanding of commercial and economic issues.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • A collaborative, team-oriented approach and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment.

The Opportunity:

  • Challenging mandates across all areas of financial regulatory and capital markets law, with clear opportunities for career progression.
  • The opportunity to actively shape the developing field of crypto regulation, including through speaking engagements and the publication of specialist articles.
  • Close collaboration across offices and practice groups.
  • Extensive internal and external training and professional development opportunities.
  • A collegiate and supportive working environment, with flat hierarchies and modern working practices.
  • An attractive remuneration package and a range of additional benefits.
  • The opportunity to develop your professional profile within a growing practice at the forefront of financial regulation and digital assets.
