Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Recruit4Staff are pleased to be representing their client, a leading food production company in their search for a Maintenance Engineer to work in their leading facility in Smethwick .

For the successful Maintenance Engineer our client is offering;

* Competitive salary paying up to £40,000 per annum
* The company operate between 6am-7pm and you will be working a flexible 8 hour shift Monday to Friday depending on business needs
* Permanent position or Temp to Perm, dependent on working circumstances
* 20 days holiday + bank holidays
* Days only, no shift work involved

The Role of the Maintenance Engineer:

* Support and carry out any maintenance duties on site as directed
* To support site planned maintenance inspections
* To support all reasonable repairs on site equipment
* Support any equipment breakdown needs in to reduce production down time
* Carry out any other duties as and when required
* Responsible for weekly strip and clean-down of production equipment
* Planned preventative maintenance
* Liaising with the Production team

What our client is looking for in a Maintenance Engineer;

* Must be able to demonstrate strong Mechanical based skills / knowledge
* Ideally coming from a Food Production background - Highly advantageous
* Proven experience of working with Steam Generators, Compressed Air and Electrics
* Proven experience within a Maintenance role
* Ideally hold mechanical related qualifications
