Salary: £162 - £251 per day (Dependent on Experience)

Supply Desk are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join one of our welcoming specialist schools in Portsmouth. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and support children with Special Educational Needs within a nurturing and well-resourced learning environment.

The successful candidate will deliver engaging, personalised lessons that enable pupils with additional needs to develop academically, socially and emotionally while building confidence and independence.

Key Responsibilities

* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs.

* Support pupils with Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Speech and Language needs and learning difficulties.

* Create a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

* Monitor progress in line with EHCP outcomes.

* Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, therapists and families.

* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

* Adapt teaching methods to maximise pupil engagement and achievement.

* Encourage pupils to develop confidence, independence and life skills.

Requirements

* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

* Experience working with pupils with SEND or a strong interest in specialist education.

* Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.

* Patient, adaptable and compassionate approach.

* Strong communication and teamwork skills.

* Committed to inclusive education and pupil success.
