The Job

Reporting to the Director of People, the Head of Human Resources will lead a HR team while providing both strategic and operational leadership across the organisation.

Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will ensure the People Strategy continues to support organisational objectives while developing an engaging, high-performing culture. This is a broad leadership role, offering the opportunity to influence every stage of the employee experience and make a genuine organisational impact.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a small HR team.

• Deliver and continually evolve the People Strategy.

• Partner with senior leaders to provide strategic HR advice and coaching.

• Drive organisational development, workforce planning and succession planning initiatives.

• Continue to strengthen leadership capability across the organisation.

• Review and enhance Learning & Development provision.

• Champion employee engagement, wellbeing and organisational culture.

• Continue to develop Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.

• Lead strategic HR projects and support organisational change.

• Ensure HR policies, practices and processes continue to support a positive employee experience.

The Person Specification

The successful candidate will bring:

• Experience leading a generalist HR function.
• Experience managing and developing people.
• Strong organisational development and change management expertise.
• The ability to influence, coach and build credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Experience delivering strategic people initiatives aligned to organisational objectives.
• A collaborative and authentic leadership style.
• CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) as a minimum, with CIPD membership desirable.

• Salary: £49,217 – £53,418
• 30 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays (increasing with service)
