Trainee Estimator
Location: Kingsley, Pontefract
Hours: 8.30am – 5.00pm, Monday to Friday, Full Training Given
Avari Homes is looking for a motivated Trainee Estimator to join our Pre-Construction team in Kinsley, Pontefract as a Trainee Estimator. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong numeracy, problem-solving skills and a keen interest in construction to build a rewarding career with a growing local housebuilder.
What you’ll be doing
· Supporting the Estimating team with take-offs, enquiries, and cost documents
· Working with colleagues across commercial and with members of the wider team as required
· Visiting live and proposed sites to support appraisals and cost planning
· Maintaining cost and subcontractor databases
· Developing skills to progress into an Assistant Estimator role

What We’re Looking For
· Minimum 4 GCSEs (A*-C / 9-4) including English, Maths, and Science
· Strong numeracy and logical thinking
· Good Excel skills and IT literacy
· Self-motivated, organised, and eager to learn
· Great communication skills to liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and colleagues
