Dental Nurse

Job summary
We're looking for a qualified Dental Nurse or an experienced Trainee Dental Nurse who is already enrolled on an accredited dental nursing course to join our friendly and supportive practice. This is much more than a general nursing role. As part of our modern 11-surgery private practice and referral centre, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside experienced clinicians across a wide range of treatments, including general dentistry, hygiene, implants, endodontics and orthodontics. As a Dental Nurse, you'll play an important role in delivering an outstanding experience for every patient. Working closely with our clinicians, you'll provide chairside support across a variety of treatments while helping to maintain the highest standards of clinical care, patient safety and infection prevention. If you already hold a Dental Radiography qualification, we'll also support you with CBCT training, providing the opportunity to carry out CBCT scans and radiographs for both internal and external referral patients.

Main duties of the job
Working alongside our experienced clinicians, you'll:

• Provide chairside support across a variety of dental procedures.
• Support our dentists, hygienists and specialist clinicians.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments and equipment.
• Maintain excellent standards of infection prevention and cross-contamination control.
• Carry out decontamination and sterilisation procedures.
• Support patients throughout their treatment journey.
• Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
• Assist with stock management and surgery preparation.
• Contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.

Working Hours
Monday: 8:15am – 7:30pm
Tuesday: Friday: 8:15am – 5:30pm

Essential Requirements

• You'll be either a GDC Registered Dental Nurse or an experienced Trainee Dental Nurse who is self-funding and enrolled on an accredited Dental Nursing course.
• You'll be caring, organised and professional, with excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a genuine commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. You'll enjoy working collaboratively, take pride in maintaining high clinical standards and be eager to continue learning and developing.

Desirable

• Experience within a private dental practice would be advantageous, along with exposure to implant, endodontic or orthodontic procedures. A Dental Radiography qualification would also be beneficial but is not essential, as we are committed to supporting further training and career development.
