* Ensure high-quality assessments, care planning, pathway planning and review processes in accordance with statutory timescales.
* Oversee complex casework, providing management oversight, reflective supervision and decision-making support.
* Promote permanence planning for looked after children, including long-term fostering, adoption and other permanency arrangements. Person Specification Qualifications * Degree in Social Work, CQSW, DipSW or equivalent recognised qualification is essential.
* A management or leadership qualification is desirable. Registration and Compliance * Must be registered with Social Work England.
* Enhanced DBS clearance is required.
* Sound knowledge of: * Children Act 1989 and 2004
* Children Leaving Care Act 2000
* Care Leavers Strategy and Statutory Guidance
* Working Together to Safeguard Children
* Corporate Parenting Principles
* Relevant legislation and guidance relating to Unaccompanied Asylum-Seeking Children and asylum-seeking children Experience * Significant post-qualifying social work experience within children's services is required.
