Fixed Term 2 Years | Only open to Sheffield Children's employee's An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Psychologist to join Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust on an innovative project exploring the use of Virtual Reality (VR) to support children and young people experiencing anxiety. Working within the Paediatric Psychology Department, you will support the delivery of CBT-based graded exposure interventions using VR technology, promote engagement with the project across the Trust, coordinate data collection, and contribute to service evaluation and reporting. We are looking for a motivated individual with an interest in clinical psychology, research and digital innovation, who is keen to gain experience in a specialist paediatric setting. About You

- We are looking for applicants with experience in delivering CBT interventions for anxiety.
- Strong IT and digital skills, and the confidence to work independently in promoting and supporting the project across the wider Trust

- An upper second class honours degree or higher in psychology
- Entitlement to graduate membership of the British Psychological Society
- Further post graduate training in relevant areas of child development or professional psychology

- High level communication skills including an ability to communicate and work in settings in which the atmosphere may be highly emotive - with both patients and professional staff
- Well-developed ICT skills for communication, databases, data analysis and presentation
- Evidence of a high standard of report writing
- An ability to apply existing psychological knowledge to a children's psychological service
- An understanding of the needs and difficulties of children with psychological problems and their families
